The home side was handed a harsh reality check in their opening round clash with Lake Macquarie.
Singleton welcomed Kemble Frost, Shade Tuiane-Whanau, Onewa Tai, Lachlan Charnock, Keanu Kaa, Jayden Duff and Paora Kemp to senior football however they would be no match for the visitors who prevailed 43-25.
However the Bulls flirted with victory last round. Facing off against the league's yardstick Hamilton, a powerhouse eyeing a record fifth premiership in 2019, Singleton would only go down by the narrowest of margins.
"Tremendous speed, great anticipation; Cooper sees where space is and he exploits it well," director of coaching Chris Coleman said.
