At Stroud Show's wife caring competition organisers were faced with a dilemma when a brother and sister pairing aged 10 and 8 years put their names forward to compete.

In the spirit of the show and after a few discussions by the committee the siblings were allowed to enter and did they enjoy themselves.
The photographs by Nyomi Aubrey capture their joy and according to Show president James Harris the pair were still smiling days later.
"We gave them a sash and a cash prize and it really added to the competition on the day," he said.
Wife carrying has become a popular showtime event with competitions held at show throughout Australia.
Finals take place at the Singleton Show which this year will be held on September 27-28 with the winning couple heading to Finland to compete. Eight couples have made the trip over to Finland to represent Australia-and have had a fantastic experience in the process.
