Both the 76-year-old and the bus driver, the vehicle's only passenger at the time, were unscathed following the incident which took place at the intersection of Bourke Street and Elizabeth Street at 3.24pm this afternoon.
"I was sitting ready to cross the road and a bus hit a car and then the car slid so my first instinct was to put my hazards on, park and help the lady," Dunn told the Singleton Argus.
Dunn, who is a current plant mechanic applicant for WesTrac after achieving her TAFE Certificate 2 for Automotive Servicing Technology, did not hesitate to check the driver seconds after the two vehicle collision.
"They (the police operator) asked if we required a fire brigade and I said yes because there was leakage but we weren't sure if it was oil," she added.
"Then they sent emergency services."
While the driver, who was on her way for a hair dressing appointment, wished to remain anonymous she paid tribute to those on hand.
"I do appreciate these two girls for checking on me; especially at their age," she said.
