Now in its eleventh year as an on-property sale at 'Kanangara' Kia Ora just outside of Gloucester, the Knowla sale is now the biggest Angus production sale on the coast.
76 bulls and 110 heifers make up this year's catalogue offering a range of breed leading genetics at affordable prices.
All the Knowla bulls carry full pedigree details, as well as being fully sire verified, making the sale one of a minority to achieve this status.
The full range of performance data has been collected on each lot, as well as being genomic DNA tested increasing the accuracy of the data available.
The Knowla sale is also the only coastal sale that have all the bulls independently structurally assessed by a qualified assessor.
Normal vaccination protocols have been followed as well as 3-Day sickness and Vibrio.
All the bulls have also been tested free for pestivirus. The bulls have also been subjected to veterinary inspection and a semen test allowing prospective purchasers to bid with confidence.
After a small ration of pellets over the summer, the preparation this year has in the main been on oats, rye and chicory pasture.

The Knowla herd would be one of the few studs presenting bulls this season that have not had to rely on grain feeding to get the bulls into sale condition. Several well proven sires are represented in the catalogue as well as some outcross bloodlines from the US making their first appearance in an Australian sale.
The sale will be interfaced on Auctions Plus allowing people to participate in the sale even if they cannot attend. It will also be streamed live on the Knowla Livestock Facebook page.
A supplementary sheet with all up to date information including sale weights will be available on the Knowla website in the week of the sale.
The sale team is available for inspection Friday July 19 from 1.30pm at the sale venue Kanangara, Kia Ora just outside of Gloucester, with the sale being held on Friday, July 26 also at Kanangara.
