Janelle Moore: A flyover out of the Mitchell Line would help enormously! Plus help lessen the chance of a fatality with large volumes of afternoon traffic avoiding the intersection using Range Rd instead to turn right onto the hwy with no provision of a turning lane on the hwy for this.
Ian Hamilton: $4.25 million patches up the roads only, get a bypass of the town before more people are killed by accidents or boredom, whilst they sit in traffic. also agree with the flyover at Golden highway. Put a toll on the damn bypass , employers and workers would pay $2 to reduce travel time by an hour each day. Get it done.
Michael Johnsen: the Bypass is being worked on now. As you would appreciate, you don't send in the bulldozers until they have a plan to work to. LEP changes are happening, landowners along the Bypass route are being bought and/or negotiated with and AECOM are finalising the concept design and EIS. It took the Nationals in government to get this started and the NSW Government has its $92m on the table and being spent on the necessary process. Landowners particularly need to be treated with respect in property purchases. The Golden Highway flyover should begin late 2019 or very early 2020.
Colleen Pike: The placement of the bypass is not going to do anything to stop the carnage along Whittingham,, go back to the drawing table and get someone who knows the area to draw up new plans.
Mark Ferrie: reminds me of how long it took us to get another pool in the town which locals funded after a shopping mall got built on the old pool.Locals will probably have to pay for a bypass again while the council is busy deciding on the need for another service station in the town (orchard Ave) Which should be great for the congestion problem in the town.
Colleen Heffernan: Be really nice to see pedestrian crossings in Ryan ave ..Kids and their parents trying to get to the oval to play footy n netball. and it has a 60 km speed limit .. I've watched many mum's n dad's trying to get little ones across the road ..yet there are five crossings in 300 metres up the main street.. They'll be a tragedy there one day.
Sue Moore not sure is this Rta. or council..?
