Curracabark held their eighth annual on-property Hereford and Angus bull and breeder sale last Monday, July, 22 at Gloucester selling at auction 39 of 45 bulls offered and all 55 females offered In the Angus section 22 of 25 bulls offered were sold at auction by Paul Dooley and in the Herefords 17 bulls were sold from 20 offered with buyers attending from Nevertire, New England Tablelands,Hunter River and Mid Coast areas.

A further four bulls sold immediately after the sale.
The high Angus content cows and heifers sold to $1,650 for the PTIC cows averaging $1,552 and the unjoined heifers made to $950 and averaged $831.
The sale topped at $13,000 for Angus bull Curracabark Newman N31 by Dunoon Highpoint H744 out of a Te Mania Emperor E343 cow and sold to Matt and Rachel Windrum, Upper Monkerai, who also purchased the Angus C. Nambucca N28 (APR) for $12,000 and 11 weaners at $850 / head.
Long-time client Peter Swatridge and family from "Brangus Park", Nevertire, secured the two top priced Hereford bulls at $11,000 for C. Pixel P104 by Oak Downs Lawloit L75 and the $10,000 C. Newman N140 by Allendale Anzac E114.
J.T. P.M. O'Brien, Wauchope, bought two Hereford bulls averaging $8,500 and Lynoch P/L took home two Angus bulls for $10,000 and $4,000 through Mike Wilson Livestock, Armidale, who has for fifteen years facilitated sales for the stud.
The Mackenzie Family, Gloucester, secured two Angus bulls for a $5,500 average.
Volume buyers included Gooch Agencies, Gloucester, buying many of the lots on offer for their various clients including the seventeen top priced PTIC females for Kendor Pastoral Co, Nowendoc.
The vendors thank all the purchasers and under bidders for their support at the sale in the face of a very difficult year's weather to date.

In other recent sales Urban Angus stud held its annual sale at Wallarobba , the stud sold 17 bulls out of 19 on offer for a 90 per cent clearance, averaging $5147 with two bulls selling at the top of $7000 and selling all of the Angus Heifer lots for a 100 per cent clearance, with the pregnancy tested heifers selling for a top of $1400 and an average of $1350 and the unjoined heifers for $700 each. Buyers of the top priced lots were R and E Boorer, Gloucester and Tim Phelan, Kimbarra Pastoral co, Glenwilliam.
The sale was conducted on the helmsman system by Ray White Gloucester and Elders Scone.
