Praise Plummer of Tamworth was driving her three children Immanuel, Marjorie and Raphael on the New England Highway on the morning of Friday, July 12 before the incident took place near Haggartys Lane.
Traffic would be brought to a standstill for the following hours while both Praise and her six-year-old son Raphael were flown to Newcastle the John Hunter Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to the GoFundMe page, which was created 11 days after on July 23, Praise has suffered a head injury and multiple bone fractures while Raphael remains in ICU with a neck injury and bruised spinal cord which has disabled movement of his legs.
The incident comes less a month after three children were killed in a tragic house fire on Brittliffe Close in Singleton (2km north from the scene of the accident) on Wednesday, June 26.
A GoFundMe page (see link) was also set up for the victims of the house fire with $270,083 raised to date ($50,000 of which was donated in the 12 hours following the tragedy).
