The Broke Village Fair draws over 5,000 happy fair goers to our village. From non-stop toe tappin' action at centre stage to the vintage and classic cars and trucks display, it is all set in our rural village with over eleven cellar doors nearby.
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
The vintage and classic car, bike and truck display looks amazing against the backdrop of the majestic Yellow Rock and historic churches.
There really is something for all members of your family - you'll lose time amongst the vintage and classic cars, trucks and motorbikes that gets bigger every year.
Dripping with nostalgia and all things vintage is the display of lovingly restored machinery of yesteryear by the hardworking members from the Hunter Valley Vintage Farm Machinery.
NON-STOP ACTION
Over at centre stage it's non-stop action. Live music from our talented Broke Boys band all day and a crackin' good time with former world whip cracking champ Andrew Thomas.
Rocker Cover Car Racing (gravity propelled cars made from rocker covers) and bush poetry yarns provide fair dinkum entertainment. In between acts take your time and wander through the stalls, over 60 stall holders and unique products.
Look out for donkeys and chicken from our local farms, kids rides, face painting, jumping castles, mini golf and bungee runs.
Watch as a piece of wood is carved into a work of art during the chainsaw sculpting demonstration and try your hand at plaiting your own whip! You can also jump on a bus for a tour of the Bulga Open Cut mine at 10am, 11.30am and 1.30pm.
FOOD AND WINE
When it's time to feed the family check out the food purveyors, from good 'ole fair food to home-made sandwiches, woodfire pizza, kebabs or try some Thai, Greek or Mexican food. Wash it down with a delicious local wine from the Broke Fordwich wine tasting tent or relax with a coffee.
Check out our gourmet produce from local cheese, bread, olive, salami and jerky producers, you won't leave empty handed! And if that isn't enough to convince you, plan your stay in Broke Fordwich so you have time to visit our cellar doors and restaurants, open all weekend.
