Fast forward to this week and Andrew Scott's men, currently holding a 9-8 record (and 74.19%), could hold onto fifth spot on the ladder if they are able to hold off powerhouse Newcastle City at Rose Point Park this Saturday.
The Roosters celebrated a spread of goal-kickers in their 18.11 (119) to 7.8 (50) win over Nelson Bay on Saturday while Newcastle City suffered an upset 49-point defeat to Terrigal Avoca in the top of the table clash.
