On June 28 this year the undermanned Singleton Roosters sat seventh on the AFL Hunter Central Coast senior table with a 3-7 record and a disappointing percentage of 37.91.

Fast forward to this week and Andrew Scott's men, currently holding a 9-8 record (and 74.19%), could hold onto fifth spot on the ladder if they are able to hold off powerhouse Newcastle City at Rose Point Park this Saturday.

The Roosters celebrated a spread of goal-kickers in their 18.11 (119) to 7.8 (50) win over Nelson Bay on Saturday while Newcastle City suffered an upset 49-point defeat to Terrigal Avoca in the top of the table clash.

A large crowd is expected for the club's past players day this weekend.

The 2009 senior premiership team will also be on hand to celebrate its 10-year reunion with the iconic grand final to be replayed at the Criterion Hotel on Saturday evening.
