"Mathematically we sit in fourth, two points clear of Muswellbrook with +30 points differential in front of them," Ferrie explained.
"They play Denman (last).
"So if they beat Denman by 30 and we lose then we won't make the finals."
Singleton is yet to have held off Scone this season after suffering a 26-12 defeat in Round 6 and then an upsetting 24-4 away loss to the powerhouse last month.
"It will be a good do or die test for us," he added.
"Last weekend we probably had our worst performance of the year and it was when we really needed to deliver.
Captain Nick Cox returns to the line-up this week however the Greyhounds will be without injured Tim Lane for the remainder of 2019.
