Community groups, not-for-profit organisations and sporting clubs can now apply for a share of $34,000 for local projects in round four of the Bridgman Ridge Community Trust Grant funding program.

The program was introduced 10 years ago as part of the Bridgeman Ridge Community Trust, which was established in line with the development of the subdivision with $1,000 from each block sold added to the fund.
Since then, a total of 37 local community groups have shared in almost $110,000 of much deserved funding towards a worthy list of projects.
The Bridgman Ridge Community Trust is overseen by directors of Bridgman Ridge Holdings Pty Ltd, Brad and Stephen Weeks, as well as the Mayor of Singleton, Cr Sue Moore and Singleton Council General Manager Jason Linnane.
Cr Moore said the funding was intended to enhance the quality of life for people living in Singleton.
"The Bridgman Ridge Community Trust aims to assist not-for-profit organisations enhance the provision of activities, facilities or the delivery of services to people in our community," she said.
"Funding can be used for the purchase of equipment, minor repair work upgrades, hosting cultural events, exhibitions or workshops or to assist obtaining larger grants."
Cr Moore said a range of deserving organisations, including sporting associations, cultural groups and not-for-profits had received donations to date.
"In round three alone, the trust grant funding program allocated over $52,000 in funding across the local government area, including $28,000 towards the new Singleton Netball Association Clubhouse.
"Over the last 10 year period, a host of other organisations have also benefited from the trust, including Glendonbrook Hall, Singleton Salvation Army, Rotary Club of Singleton on Hunter and our local rugby, league, soccer and track and field clubs.
"The demand for funding is high and each round we have tough decisions to make, but our trustees are Singleton locals with a breadth of experience in this community, and together we strive to make sure the funds are put to the best use possible.
"I encourage anyone involved in a not-for-profit group in our LGA to put forward an application so we can assist you in continuing to provide your valuable service to our community."
