Prior to the weekly run a group of 100 loyal members gathered on the start line to hear from the group's founder Courtenay Robertson.
"When we started doing the trial runs in Singleton we only had three people turn up but five years later you wouldn't have predicted where we'd been now," she told the crowd.
"I want to thank Kirrilee (Robinson) for her service to Singleton parkrun as event director."
Robinson replied, "And I want to say a big thank you to all of our run directors because this run wouldn't happen each week without you."
In the last 12 months the group has conducted 51 runs.
One run saw 131 reach the finish line while the least total was 42.
The fastest time recorded was 17:45 while the slowest was at 1.16:35 making an average time of 35 minutes.
A total of 4,785 runners and 668 volunteers have combined for a distance of 23,925km.
"That's like going around Australia 1.6 times," Robinson added.
