On one hand he, along with many other loyal Wallabies' supporters, will hope to see his nation capture another convincing win over the Pacific nation following a 28-13 triumph in the 2015 tournament.
At the same time, he will also cast the spotlight on World Cup debutant Mosese Voka who has been named on the bench for Fiji.
Voka, now 34, starred for the Singleton Bulls in 2009 and managed to win the coveted Anderson medal (Newcastle Hunter Rugby Union top tier's best and fairest award) in a three way tie.
"He was an unbelievable young talent when he first came out from Fiji," Partridge recalled.
"In what was a tough year for the club, he was consistently in the Anderson medal race for a team that only won five games.
"He has since gone onto to captain Fiji Drua in the current NRC where he won the competition as captain in 2018."
Fiji has participated in seven world cup tournaments and has advanced to the quarter-final stage on two occasions (1987 and 2007).
