This event is generously sponsored by Glencore - Mt. Owen Open Cut mine and looks to highlight the facilities at Lake St. Clair and provide much needed funds to Singleton charities, while offering cyclist of all abilities a challenging ride with a hill or two to conquer.
This year saw many new riders attend, with some from as far away as Port Macquarie, Penrith and Sydney.
The funds this year are being donated to Witmore Enterprises, a not for profit NDIS service provider who have been part of the Singleton community for over 60 years.
Several clients and staff from Witmore volunteered to helped set up for the event on Friday and man the marshalling points on the day, and from all accounts they had a great time.
A special thank you to St. John's Ambulance for providing first aid services, CREST who provided essential communications support and the Singleton Girl Guides who assisted at the various drink stations.
The other sponsor who made the day the success it was, is Drift Bikes Newcastle who help with the major prize of two Specialist Bicycles which were given away on the day.
As the event grows in popularity the committee are looking to improve the event to increase the opportunity for riders of all skill levels to have fun and make a difference to the Singleton Community.
A special shout out to all the Rotary and Soft Cog helpers and the committee for their hard work.
