There are councils that already webcast their meetings, and Singleton Council will webcast their first meeting in November.
"We are about to commence the installation of webcasting equipment in the Council chamber later this month and then run tests ahead of the ordinary meeting on 18 November 2019," said acting Director Business and Community Mark Wiblen.
"People will be able to watch the meeting in real time, but the recordings will also be available on Council's website for people to watch later on or to refer back to particular decisions," he added.
"It's a great tool to put community decision making back in the community, as well as an opportunity for people to see local government in action and to understand what happens at a Council meeting."
