"The Hunter Tennis Academy had seven students competing in the event, which for many it was their first tournament and we are extremely proud of them for giving it a go," junior co-ordinator Heidi Stanford told the Singleton Argus this week.
Singleton's iconic venue was the fifth stop on the tour following previous rounds hosted by the Raymond Terrace Tennis Club (September 8), Wyong Tennis Club (September 22), Newcastle Tennis Club (October 20) and Gosford Tennis Club (November 3).
The series will continue in Cessnock this Sunday before concluding at Nelson Bay (November 24) and Newcastle (December 1).
"Special mention to Xander Sheath winning the 13 & under boys," she added.
