The local staff members are currently conducting a soft drink and bottled water drive, which will then benefit the Samaritans Christmas Lunch in town this month.
The annual luncheon - including fun, entertainment and a Santa gift for all ages - is scheduled to take place at the Singleton Senior Citizens Centre in Bathurst Street on Wednesday, December 25, from 11am.
"Christmas is a lonely time for a lot of people, so we wanted to play our part and help the community," Majestic Cinemas supervisor Sam Mills said.
"Plus, Samaritans do a fantastic job, hosting such an event.
"Residents can bring any canned soft drink or bottled water to the cinema up until Sunday, December 22.
"All items will be donated to the Samaritans Christmas Lunch, which supports those with no plans on that day.
"And, anyone who drops items off will receive a $9.90 movie coupon - it's our way of saying thanks for your contribution."
