A decision will also be made by the Singleton District Junior Cricket Association committee at 4pm ahead of tonight's scheduled round to be held at Cook Park following the cancellation of the neighbouring junior fixtures in Newcastle and Maitland.
The Upper Hunter has received 11 air quality alerts in the past 24 hours (nine in the Singleton LGA) adding to a total of 841 for 2019.
The trend has continued following the Singleton Strikers cancellation of training across all grades last night.
Earlier in the week the Singleton Track and Field Club also pulled the pin on its annual 'International Day of People with Disability' celebrations.
"The safety of our athletes is paramount so we were forced to cancel the club night which is disappointing because we had over 100 young athletes involved," Singleton Striders coach Hilary Kennedy told the Singleton Argus on Tuesday evening.
Tomorrow's Singleton Park Run may also be cancelled as discussions continue among the group's organisers while Singleton District Cricket Association treasurer Daniel Storey has confirmed tomorrow's opening round of the T20 competition will also be pending until 11am.
