Singleton Fire and Rescue captain Bruce Ambrose admits his crew didn't have time time to take off their uniforms between back to back call outs this morning.
The local brigade was called out to a business on John Street at 10:20am after reports of a small kitchen fire.
Moments after crews had completed their assessment they were then called to an oil spill on the corner of William and Bathurst Street.
"We haven't received a call out in eight days and then the second one was at 10:40am so we had two assignments within 20 minutes of each other," he told the Singleton Argus.
"A local resident had a spill which went up William Street so that was nothing more than a quick clean up."
