It is the first time in nine days the reported addition has been limited to a single digit.
This tally, which was recorded at 8pm on Monday, March 30, brings the total number of Hunter New England confirmed cases to 208.
Hunter New England Health authorities have confirmed that there is still between 'one and four' confirmed cases in Singleton.
New South Wales Health also released information that the Muswellbrook Shire confirmed its first case on Sunday.
Te total number of confirmed cases at Cessnock remains at 16 while two of the additional confirmed cases have been recorded in Maitland to town's tally to 23.

Currently 12 COVID-19 patients are being cared for in our hospitals, seven in ICU.
Of the 208 cases, 33 have recovered so far.
Hunter New England Health is contacting close contacts of the new cases, who are being asked to self-isolate for 14 days from last contact.
