The thoroughbred market defied wider economic calamity caused by a COVID-19 pandemic on Day One of the "virtual" Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale
The first seven figure yearling was a 'So You Think' half-brother to Classique Legend out of Pinocchio.
The $1.1 million colt from Tyreel Stud was bought by Legend Racing's Bon Ho who races horses in Hong Kong and Australia.
The colt is the first progeny of So You Think (Coolmore, Jerrys Plains) to reach seven figures at auction and his sale comes days after another son, Quick Thinker, became his sixth Group 1 winner following a memorable Australian Derby victory at Randwick.
The revamped Australian Easter Yearling Sale was witnessed by viewers from 99 different countries and six continents and continued this afternoon.
While down on last year, the first session was still buoyant with 105 lots sold for $32.4 million at an average of $309,310.
Last year's sale recorded more than $123 million in sales over the two day event with a $260,000 median.
