Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked at 7:15 am Tuesday as well as multiple emergency service personnel to a serious single vehicle accident on Putty Road four kilometres from the Mt Thorley intersection.

A 22-year-old male suffering multiple lower limb injuries after his van left the road and hit a tree trapping him in the vehicle.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and found a van collided into a tree with a single male occupant trapped by confinement.
Singleton Fire & Rescue personnel provided fire protection while ASNSW Paramedics and Rescue Services released the patient and with the assistance of the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team have stabilised the patient and he has been airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital for further treatment
Singleton Council were also in attendance and assisted with traffic control.
