On Friday afternoon around 4:45pm Singleton Fire & Rescue station was alerted to the smell of smoke in a Singleton Council building.

Singleton Fire & Rescue
Firefighters arrived and spoke with council staff who isolated the smell to one room and evacuated.
Firefighters entered wearing breathing apparatus and used a thermal imaging camera and gas detector to locate the source of the burning smell. Once located, the source was isolated and a Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan was used to clear the room of the smell.
Singleton Ambulance were also in attendance for firefighter welfare.
