Numbers lifted marginally to 670, as the quality remained mixed, with a greater percentage of lightweight vealers compared to recent markets. The prime conditioned younger cattle to the butchers were scarce in the pens, while approximately 90 cows were penned. The market trend was variable, with the light weight vealers trending dearer, as the medium weights sold to a cheaper trend.

The under 200kg vealer steers returning to the paddock gained 9c and sold from 400c to 504c/kg. The medium weights to the same orders eased 4c and ranged from 364c to 486c/kg. The lighter vealer heifers to the restockers improved 10c and received from 390c to 462c, as the medium weights eased 7c and sold from 364c to 438c/kg.
Yearling steers remained firm, with the lighter end to the restockers topping at 420c, while the medium weights made from 384c to 398c/kg. Yearling heifers were keenly sought by the restockers and made from 348c to 388c/kg. The limited supply of vealers suitable for the butchers gained 12c and topped at 444c/kg.
The older steers suitable for the restockers and lot feeders gained 15c, with those identified with 2 teeth reaching 396c/kg. The older heifers also suitable for the restockers remained firm and received from 294c to 338c/kg.
Cows sold to a cheaper trend and declined from 16c to 25c/kg, with restockers securing the majority of the plainer lighter drafts. The D2 pens ranged from 240c to 280c, as the better covered heavy weights received from 260c to 275c/kg. The best heavy weight bull reached 260c/kg.
