In terrible conditions for free-flowing football, the interdistrict side - made up primarily of Muswellbrook-based players - appeared on target for a win when it led 1-0 at the break.
But, Toronto Awaba FC hit back in the second half to even the ledger.
Despite numerous chances to grab a win in the latter stages of the fixture, the Strikers - buoyed by three under-14 representatives on the day - would have been well-pleased with their overall efforts.
Meanwhile, matches featuring the Singleton men's over-35s and women's All Age Friday night squad, the Storm, were called off.
The club was also dealt another blow at the weekend when New Lambton FC withdrew its sides from their respective clashes with the Strikers in NEW-FM Northern League One action.
