But, the round four fixture against the Cardiff Hawks went right down to the wire.
When the siren sounded at full-time, the Roosters had prevailed to the tune of 10.9 (69) to 10.5 (65).
Before the match, Singleton coach Jed Ellis-Cluff admitted he was confident his troops would bounce back to form after a heavy loss to Newcastle City.
And, that's how they started the showdown, surging to a handy 3.3 (21) to 1.1 (8) lead in the opening term.
Singleton then extended its advantage at the long break, 5.6 (36) to 2.4 (16).
However, Cardiff refused to surrender and slowly, but surely, worked its way into the encounter.
The Hawks booted four goals in the third quarter to just trail 7.9 (51) to 6.4 (40).
Alex Mitchell and Ellis-Cluff steadied the ship, but two majors from Cardiff sharp-shooter Scott Pierce ensured there would be a few anxious moments at the end.
Luckily, Singleton - buoyed by a vocal crowd - hung on to enjoy another victory.
For the Roosters, Luke Draper kicked three goals, with Ellis-Cluff (2), Mark Roser, Isaac Barry, Mitchell, Sam Brasington and Jesse Bates adding the others.
Barry starred on the field, supported by Draper, Ellis-Cluff, Bates, Sam Howard and Oliver Moody.
