Despite desperate efforts on Thursday and Friday, to find grounds on which to play the Singleton District Cricket Association Semi Finals, the matches were abandoned on Saturday morning.
This means that the higher ranked semi finalist will go forward to meet the Minor Premiers in the Finals which are scheduled for Saturday, March 27 at 1pm. Should the finals be unable to be played on Saturday, it is hoped they can be played on Sunday commencing 12 noon.
Finals matches will be as follows:
1st Grade Valley v PCH Cook Park 1
2nd Grade JPC v Valley Cook Park 3
3rd Grade Valley v JPC Cook Park 5
The Singleton District Cricket Association Presentation will be held at the Royal Hotel following completion of the Finals on either Saturday or Sunday.
Best wishes and congratulations to Greg Thrift who will travel to Gunnedah on Sunday where, on Monday, he will represent New South Wales in the Veterans Over 55 years match against Queensland.
