The Brides Choice Awards is a platform designed to recognise wedding businesses from around Regional Australia that have excelled and or exceeded a bride's expectation in the planning of their wedding.
Chantel Merrick took over the small business in 2018.
"When I first took over the business it was just myself, another senior and an apprentice," said Chantel.
"Now we have three seniors and two apprentices; we are always growing," she continued.
The popular salon, located in shop 3/95 John Street behind Evidence Surf Shop, offers many services including skin treatments, waxing, brow services, tanning, cosmetic injections, pregnancy massages, cosmetic tattooing and many more.
"We didn't even know we had been nominated. I literally got a message Tuesday night from a friend saying congratulations and I had no idea what is was for," Chantel continued.
"The team are absolutely stoked and I am so proud of them and all of the hard work they do for our clients."
Chantel Merrick (owner), Demi Trezise, Kasey McCarthy, Alex Mulholland and Holly Almond make up the Pure Essence beauty team who are currently all booked out up to four weeks in advanced due to demand.
"Brides will normally come to us for their spray tans however in recent months we have noticed many brides undergoing skin needling services or other skin treatments to bring out their bridal glow on their special day," Chantel continued.
"I guess our brides are just seeing the results from their treatments and that is why we have been nominated for this award!"
Pure Essence is open Monday to Saturday and is located on John Street.
"I just want to give a huge thank you to all over our beautiful clients who support us and my team of hard working ladies who have helped us get where we are."
