This amount was generated from the proceeds from the sales of one of the only 2020 wines produced by the family.

The 2020 grape crop across the Hunter Valley was largely lost to the effect of smoke taint from the bushfires. In the case of Tyrrell vineyards it was estimated that more than 80 per cent of their crop was lost to smoke taint.
