"We expect to respond as a club," Noble said.

"The Larkey turnaround seemed to have a bit of an impact with a young team.

"We can't just be conditional to having things go our way all the time.

"You are in a battle, it is a territory sport. We have got to be better than having something like that totally derail us for a period of time."

North thrashed the Crows by 69 points in the corresponding match last season, but the teams have changed considerably since.

The Kangaroos regain reigning best-and-fairest winner Luke McDonald, but will be without experienced midfielder Jed Anderson, who will miss up to two months because of ankle surgery.

Adelaide captain Rory Sloane will be missing for up to four weeks as he undergoes surgery to fix a serious eye issue.

His predecessor, Taylor Walker, has turned back the block with 17 goals from three games this season and will look to exploit an under-sized Kangaroos defence.
