Farm recovery following drought and bushfire is an opportunity to review your production goals and plan ahead to successfully develop your grazing enterprise.
Time invested networking with local farmers, local rural advisors and industry experts, tailoring a property development package to meet your needs is me well spent. Sharing ideas and local solutions will help you get your business plan back on track.
The Rejuvenation workshop series is an opportunity to get together with local landholders & tackle your recovery issues head on under the guidance of experienced Hunter district agricultural consultant, Neil Nelson.
The program will be tailored to meet the needs of group participants with at least two of the four sessions to be held on-farm.
Broad topics to be walked through include:
- Soils Get FREE soil tests - understand how to rebuild soil health
- Assessing current pastures from groundcover to pasture mixes and weed species
- Goal setting enterprise aims, planning and building drought resilience
- Sustainability matching pastures and grazing enterprises
Group members can volunteer to host a workshop on their property accessing free soil tests and pasture analyses. Hunter Local Land Services technical staff and industry experts will support the program where required. Workshop timing will be geared to suit participants.
