The event first launched in 2016 with the combined efforts of the Rotary Club of Singleton and support from Soft Cogs Inc. and Mt Owen, Glencore.
Due to COVID-19, the event was unable to go ahead last year but that has only further increased interest for the event ahead of December 4.
"We are very excited to be able to host the Lake St Clair Charity Bike ride this year," said Singleton Rotary Club Inc Subcommittee Chairperson, Anita White.
The Rotary Club of Singleton Inc. was formed on 16th February 1940.
"After missing last year's ride and many of our other fundraising initiative beings canned because of COVID, we are really keen for this."
Roughly 200 cyclists take part in the challenge each year which raises roughly $10,000.
All money raised through the initiative goes straight back to fund local projects with community organisations.
This year, proceeds raised from the ride will go towards disability services and support organisation Witmore Enterprises.
In 2019 all proceeds were donated to the Singleton Neighbourhood Centre.
Ms White, who is also the CEO of Witmore Enterprises, said the funds they will receive will go towards all ability fishing and sailing facilities at Lake St Clair.
"I have been working closely with Belgravia Leisure who manage the Lake St Clair park and we would love to be able to get an all access floating platoon for the lake so people with a disability are able to fish," Ms White said.
The platoon would be fitted out with hand rails and would adjust to allow for wheelchair access, costing roughly $60,000.
"We are also working with Singleton Council to make this happen as we believe it would be a great benefit for plenty of people in our community to enjoy what Lake St Clair has to offer."
The Lake St Clair Charity Bike Ride will cater for experienced and novice riders with a 75 kilometre ride, a 48km ride and a 16km ride.
The ride will be supported on the day with use of facilities at Lake St Clair.
"We hope to have as many riders as possible and are really hopeful that many of our Sydney cyclists will make the trip up after the lengthy lockdown they have been through" Ms White added.
