F45 members are currently partaking in a six-week fitness challenge, in efforts to lose the highest percentage of body fat.
To make things interesting, F45 Singleton trainers Aleesha Ryan and Dan Malloy split the gym community into two teams and both are raising funds and awareness for two different causes.
Aleesha's team took on the challenge to fundraise for the National Breast Cancer Foundation as breast cancer has closely affected not only herself, but many of the members at F45 Singleton.
"The F45 franchise chose to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer research this month as part of a six week challenge," said Aleesha .
"For myself and many of the members here at the Singleton F45 gym, breast cancer or just cancer in general, definitely hits close to home. Everyone has a story of some sort."
Trainers Aleesha and Dan took to the main street last month to seek prizes from local businesses eager to contribute to the cause.
"We are so grateful to all the local businesses who donated the amazing prizes that were raffled off on the day, it was a huge success."
Sponsors that contributed included J&T Bayley, Cervoz Cafe & Catering, The Central Bar & Kitchen, Indulgence Spa & Salon, JF Electrical & Fabrication, Arms & Ammo, Nutrition Warehouse, Isn't it Lovely Events and F45 Singleton.
"The atmosphere on the day was unreal, the support from all of our members goes to show that we have a great little community here," Ms Ryan continued.
Members dressed in pink and the team from Shakey Joes in Newcastle made the trip to provide everyone with breakfast with a percentage of proceeds going to the initiative.
All up on the day, $5,642.50 was raised to go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Meanwhile, the other F45 six-week challenge team (with captain Dan Malloy) will be participating in 'Movember'.
'Movember' includes the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide.
"Our members will be growing out their facial hair and walking and or running 60km for the month of November to help raise awareness for the 60 men we lose every minute globally from suicide," Aleesha continued.
