Once floodwater passes 11.00 metres on the Singleton gauge at Whittingham and Scotts Flat roads will begin to close.
Bridgman Road closed earlier this afternoon with diversions in place via White Avenue and then onto Blaxland Avenue to provide access to Singleton Heights, Hunterview and those residents and properties to the north east of Singleton.
The SES report the Hunter River at Singleton is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (11.50 m) around 7:00 pm Saturday. The river level is likely to reach around 12.70 metres Sunday morning with moderate flooding. Further rises to the major level are possible.
