Two people gained entry to a fenced area on Forest Lane at Glennies Creek about 2.15am on September 2. The pair threw rocks at two computer terminals, damaging the systems.
Both men left the scene on a motorbike.
A vacant home on nearby Middle Falbrook Road was set alight about 45 minutes later and completely destroyed.
Police further allege two hay bales were deliberately lit inside a shed on a Glennies Creek Road property.
NSW Rural Fire Service crews were called to extinguish that fire, spotting two residential garbage bins also well alight on their way to the scene.
Hunter Valley police began an investigation and "at this time police believe the suspicious fires and the malicious damage incident are all linked".
Police said the footage released overnight, a combination of CCTV and dash-cam video, showed two people who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
Anyone with information that could assist investigators is urged to call 1800 333 000.
