
NSW Police have commenced an investigation after a man presented to Muswellbrook Hospital with gunshot wounds on the evening of Wednesday, February 16.
Police said officers attached to the Hunter Valley Police Department were contacted at around 9.15pm on Wednesday evening by staff at Muswellbrook Hospital advising that a 28-year-old man had presented with an injury consistent with a gunshot wound to his upper left thigh.

Police said officers later attended a home on Richmond Street in Muswellbrook where they established a crime scene and seized a number of items for further examination.
The man was later taken to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment and police said his injury is not considered life-threatening.
Police said as their investigation continues, anyone with further information is urged to contact Muswellbrook Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
