Police said emergency services responded to four grass fires around Lioness Park and John Street at Singleton between 11.30pm on Monday October 4 and 12am on Tuesday October 5, 2021.
Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the fires.
Emergency services were then called at about 12.15am on the same night to the corner of Market and Patrick Streets, following reports of a building fire.

Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the fire, but the vacant building was destroyed and another seriously damaged. Both buildings were unoccupied at the time and there were no reports of injury.
Hunter Valley Police District attended and established a crime scene. Hunter Valley Police District crime manager Detective Inspector Matt Zimmer said investigators were treating the fires as suspicious.
"Initial inquiries suggest due to the close proximity and timing of the fires, that all these incidents are linked, and that more than one person may be involved," Detective Inspector Zimmer said. "During an assessment of the scene, police located multiple aerosol cans, which were seized for forensic examination."
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward and contact police.
