Ebony Macfarlane runs Fusion with two squads performing at competitions throughout New South Wales.
While they have placed at every competition they’ve entered, it was the recent performance at the national event at Luna Park that has set the benchmark.
The junior squad, consisting of girls aged from four to seven, are judged on just how well they can remember their routines and remember they did.
Their results this year are a testament to the dedication, practice and commitment the members show to their sport which they described as a combination of dance and gymnastics.
These results include:

3rd Place AASCF State Championships
2nd Place UCA Australian International (At Luna Park)
2nd Place Australian Cheer Elite Competition

A highlight of the UCA National Championships was the presentation to Lucy Macfarlane who was awarded a Spirit Award at UCA for her hard work both on and off the performance floor.
Lucy is an assistant teacher at Fusion Dance Co for younger students (Tiny pom and group stunts included), she is also a member of the Junior Jazz and modern performance group and the Junior Level 1 cheer squad.
“I’m really happy with the results, the girls are having fun and that’s the main thing and when Lucy was awarded the spirit award, we were all really excited, this is the sort of award that you really love to receive,” Ebony said.
