One was to gauge how his business was performing.
Well he must be pleased with the answer after wining the Excellence in Manufacturing/ Engineering Award.
Although he was a little surprised with this result.
“We entered a number of categories and this was not the one I expected to win,” he said.
Scott said there are three members of his staff involved in the manufacturing side of the business.
Together they work as a team with the help of the latest technology to produce quality hand-crafted products.
“Around 12 months ago we started to use computer aided design and manufacturing programs,” he explained.
“This has added another element to the manufacturing side of the business.”
It gives us a greater capacity to satisfy the needs of our customers, he said.
Scott and his wife, Linda opened Hunter Jewellers in 2005 and have recently expanded into a new location on the corner of York and John Streets.
