The triplets – identical twins Immy and Issy and their sister Georgie – made their The Singleton Argus debuts in 2009.
Now, the youngsters can’t wait for their first taste of school when they make a visit to King Street Public School on Wednesday for their individual ‘Best Start’ school assessment.
They will be joining older siblings Archie (Year 5) and Frankie (Year 2) at the school and the older pair are sure to have plenty advice for the triplets, who will be enjoying their first full day of learning the following Monday.
For parents Lindsay and Andrew, seeing the five-year-old triplets off to school provides them with a sense of pride and achievement.
“I am absolutely rapt and overwhelmed,” Andrew said.
He went on to joke about having the time to enjoy a few counter lunches with all the children now at school.
He said he and Lindsay were planning to spend some time painting the house and other odd jobs around the home.
For Lindsay, she said she wasn’t sure if she would become very emotional when she waves the triplets goodbye on February 2.
“I am very excited for them because they are all so keen on going to school,” Lindsay said.
“One thing is for sure the house should stay a bit tidier for a few hours each day.”
The triplets attended Singleton Pre-School but now they are ready for the next stage in their education – and they have the beautiful shiny new shoes and ultra-white socks to prove it.
