For many years now instead of knocking on your door, Singleton’s Red Cross branch has been hosting the event as their major fundraiser.
Every March the dedicated members of the local branch select a different garden to showcase and hold various activities in.
This year they have selected a rambling country garden at 45 Dangar Street as the location.
“We decided to pick a location in town this time so it is more convenient,” Red Cross president Linda Frazer says.
“As it is the same weekend as the election we thought people may vote then pop-in.”
There will be something for everyone, she says.
The garden will be transformed - stalls will be set up and artworks displayed.
Refreshments are available including Devonshire teas and a barbecue lunch.
It will be open to the public from 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday – and Red Cross is hoping Singleton supports them once again.
“The community has always been very generous,” Mrs Frazer says. “It is our biggest fundraiser and there are some very needy people in the world that Red Cross helps.”
Entry is $5 and children are free.
