From flooding on local roads to leaking roofs the calls for assistance continue to flow and local residents are requesting sandbags.
With rain predicted for the next two days, the RFS have offered their assistance and already have three crews on stand-by.
Local Police are in attendance at the following flooded roads: White Avenue, The Golden and New England Highway (NEH) at Whittingham, Bridgman Road, Kelso/Ada Street and the NEH near Lancaster Motors.
Deputy controller, Richard Fellows says there is water on the road everywhere.
He says Mirannie Road, Hebden Road and Moses Crossing at Lemington Road are all closed.
The flooding on Lemington Road means there is no access to Hunter Valley Operations and Ravensworth Surface Operations.
"Although the Hunter River has only risen about a half a metre", SES Volunteer, Niel Fellowes says.
"When I checked my rain gauge at 8am this morning, we had received 108mm at Singleton Heights."
Mr Fellowes advised local residents to stay out of flood waters and keep off the roads.
Since 7am this morning, Lower Belford had received 70mm of rain, bringing the total to around 200mm.
