The pupils dressed up as swash-buckling pirates.
And, even if the students didn’t adopt the fancy dress theme, they received an eye patch that they could decorate themselves.
“It was huge,” administrative manager Kerrie Burns said.
“Everyone in the school dressed up, even the teachers.
“The day was a great success, everyone pitched in.”
The Student Council chose the Kids Cancer Project because they thought it would be a good cause to contribute to.
“The council picks one charity to host a fundraiser for each term,” Ms Burns said.
“For only a gold coin donation, the students were able to come out of uniform.”
The Kids Cancer Project, founded by Col Reynolds in 1993, is one of the largest contributors of research for children’s cancer in Australia.
The foundation has raised $24 million since 2007 to go towards the exploration of the disease.
