Coach Andreas Falkenau said it was a fantastic experience for the youngsters to be able to compete in Canberra at the Ginninderra qualifying meet.
“Both Tegan and Chantelle achieved County qualifying times and even though the temperatures were cool outside; the Singleton swimmers were still able to perform at their best,” he said.
“It was also great for them to establish a connection with the Ginninderra Swimming Club and share their experiences.”
Falkenau was a coach at the Ginninderra Swimming Club prior to relocating to Singleton last year.
When Moore and Smuts were asked how they would describe their experience, they both said “it was fun and great to be able to have the opportunity to swim at the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport).”
