POLICE attended the scene of an accident on the New England Highway between Muswellbrook and Singleton on Thursday.

The accident happened 2km south of Ravensworth near the intersection with Lemington Road around mid-afternoon.
Officers from Hunter Valley Local Area Command and emergency services attended.
It’s understood two cars were involved in the collision.
One person was injured and transported by road ambulance.
The region's rescue helicopter was called initially, but was stood down a short time later when emergency services personnel established the injuries of the car occupants were non-life threatening.
Police said at 5pm the two cars had been loaded on tow trucks and the New England Highway was open in both directions.
