CREEKS opening batsman Myles Cook capped off a brilliant 2015-16 season by claiming the Singleton District Cricket Association Player of the Year award.

Cook, who led the charge for his side against Glendon in the first grade decider last month, averaged 40.36 with the bat and amassed 56 points to win the prestigious trophy.
In the end, it was a closely-fought affair, with Jacob Carey and Dan Oldknow both finishing one point in arrears on 55.
Hayden Edwards secured 54 to place third.
Carey also enjoyed a stellar season.
The Valley skipper scored 487, at an average of 48.7.
The second grade player of the year went to Creeks’ Clint Harman with 78 points, while Jake Palmer captured the honour in the “thirds”.
The association wrapped up 2015-16 with its presentation night at the Agricultural Hotel.
It’s been a stellar season for the organisation with hard-working Helene Goadsby also picking up the Contribution to Sport Award at the Sports Star Awards.
