A victim of theft has used an online find my IPhone application to lead Police to her stolen goods.
At some stage on Saturday between 9am and 3pm unknown persons stole a number of items from her home, and an attached shed on Old North Road at Rothbury.
Jewellery, an Ipad, watch, and cash were stolen from inside the house, and a chainsaw from an attached shed.
Then at about 4 pm on Monday the victim has used the online find my IPhone application to try and locate her stolen IPad.
After activating this function it pin pointed the location of the device to a residence in Hunterview.
She then contacted Police who have attended the location.
Consequently, the 27-year-old female resident was cautioned in relation to the stolen property and was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice.
The woman is to appear at Singleton Local Court on June, 16.
Break and Enter - Branxton:
Thieves triggered the alarm then fled the scene after attempting to break into a Branxton supermarket on Tuesday.
At about 1.55am unknown persons gained entry to the premises by forcing the ground floor side main door.
It appears as if nothing has been stolen and Police are conducting further inquiries.
.Disqualified Driver - Singleton:
A 24-year-old Taree man will appear before Singleton Court on July 28 after he was found driving while disqualified.
At about 12.30 on Monday Police were patrolling the New England Highway at Singleton, when they have observed a grey Mitsubishi Magna driving in a westerly direction.
They followed the vehicle for a short time before activating all warning devices causing him to turn onto Bridgman Road then Newton Road, before coming to a complete stop.
The driver was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a negative result but a police check revealed he had been disqualified from July 28, 2015 until July 28, 2018.
Steal from Person – Singleton:
Police are currently investigating a person of interest in relation to the theft of a handbag from a shopping trolley on Monday.
It is alleged the incident occurred between 11:30 and 11:40am.
The handbag, containing a wallet and contents, was removed from a trolley while the victim was loading groceries into her car at Singleton Square.
