One could not help but notice the stunning replica of the man himself painted on textured marine-ply with oils.

The talented local artist, Mitchell O’Mahoney worked from a photograph and says he finds this easier than working with a live model.

Interestingly, he honed his craft while living in Vietnam where his wife taught English.

Over 200 people packed the Singleton Civic Centre on Friday night for one the most respected Art exhibitions in the region.

Professional artist, John Haycraft judged the offerings and was clearly impressed with the standard of work.
