To put it bluntly, he’s “peeved off”.
Vandals have inanely destroyed one of the pitches at Cook Park, which will impact more than 500 junior and senior players over the next month.
“It’s bloody senseless – and a pain in the butt,” Mr Gore explained.
“They [the vandals] might think it’s funny, but their actions affect a lot of people in town.
“On top of that, there is the cost to consider.
“It will be about $4500 to $5000 to replace the synthetic pitch.”
Mr Gore said it appeared the damage occurred on Halloween.
“When players trained on Monday evening, it was fine,” he told The Argus.
“However, it was a different story the next day.
“It looks as though the pitch was set alight, so we’re in the process of speaking to police and [Singleton] council.”
Mr Gore predicts Cook Park 5 will be out of action for a month.
“We’ll now have to reschedule the draw,” he said.
“Plus, the ground is used four times a week.
“In other words, it upsets so many things.
“Not only do the seniors play here on Saturday, the juniors train twice a week and then have their competition on a Friday evening.
“But, this isn’t the first time our sport’s been interrupted during the season.
“We had our roller stolen, valued at $30,000, almost two years ago.
“So, if anyone has information on that theft, I’d love to hear from them.”
