From Monday, August 28 soldiers will be raising funds to support Legacy ahead of their annual Badge Day on September 1.
Throughout the week soldiers can be found at Singleton Bunnings and McDonalds, two businesses that have consistently supported Legacy’s work.
On Legacy’s annual Badge Day, students from St. Catherine’s Catholic College and Singleton High School along with soldiers from the School of Infantry will be busy selling merchandise to raise much needed funds for local families of past and current veterans.
The merchandise acts as a token of appreciation for donations given, as they are essential in allowing Legacy to continue their work.
Singleton Legacy Group chairman Warrant Officer Class One Warren Barnes OAM says that with the support of the respective school Principals, students, volunteers and the Commanding Officer of the School of Infantry, Lieutenant Colonel Scott Morris, Legacy badge day will hopefully be yet another success.
Local businesses are also acknowledged for their ongoing support to Legacy at this time of year.
